Professional Installation: The “Double-Cut” Method
We don’t just “stick” wallpaper; we engineer it to fit perfectly. For every digital wallpaper installation, we use a 25mm overlap and a precision double-cut technique.
This process involves overlapping two panels and slicing through both layers simultaneously with a fresh blade. The result is an invisible, butt-jointed seam that won’t gap or curl, even in air-conditioned office environments.
Surface Requirements for Professional Results
To ensure the integrity of the 1.3m panel joins and the longevity of the 300gsm material, walls must be skimmed to a Level 5 finish, sanded smooth, and primed with a high-quality acrylic primer. Surfaces must be free of moisture and contaminants to allow the substrate to bond permanently without shrinking.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is digital wallpaper suitable for malls and public buildings? Yes. Our materials are fire-rated to Euroclass B-s1, d0, which is the required industry standard for commercial safety in South Africa (SANS 10400-T).
What ink technology is used? We utilise UV-cured and solvent inks. UV inks sit on the surface of the material rather than soaking in, resulting in sharper graphics, vibrant colours, and superior resistance to fading and chemicals.
How wide are the wallpaper panels? Our standard commercial rolls are 1.3 metres wide. These wider panels are specifically designed for professional installers to cover large feature walls quickly while minimising the number of seams across the graphic.
Can the wallpaper be installed in high-traffic areas? Absolutely. At 300gsm, our digital wallpaper is significantly heavier and more durable than domestic options. It is fully washable, making it ideal for office lobbies, hospital corridors, and retail displays.
